Let’s see if you can keep up with the highlights of the night! We will start off with Red Headed Steph Child taking on Cow Heads on Court 1. Red Headed came into this season as grissled veterans, having played together for awhile now. They know how to communicate….set up a defense and feed the ball to the chicks for more points. They easily posted up 30 points to Cow Heads 15, never looking back!
The same could be said for Monstars in their irish green jerseys. With a fairly deep bench, they know how to rotate and substitute to keep fresh legs on the court. They first took out Winning Temperament 30-14 then made quick work of Cow Heads, holding them to only 10 points. What a team to be reckoned with this season!
The last 2 games of the night got a little tighter with teams all warmed up and catching on to some strategies that finally worked. The Basket Hounds played a close one against Winning Temperament with each side trading baskets and steals to keep it close throughout. In the end. The Basket Hounds managed a couple more possessions late to take the win 30-24. Great game!
In the last game of the night, Red Headed Steph Child were up to their old tricks but had to work extra hard to pull off a close one against The Basket Hounds. Again, the last 2 possessions decided the winner with Red Headed Steph Child taking the squeaker 30-26. Wow….what a night on the hardwood!
Gourdoughs hosted yet another great Happy Hour after it was all said and done. A few brewskies tipped back and challenges thrown down….let’s see how they all pan out again next week!
