Dirty Pitches The Champions Are Crowned Four teams in the Wednesday super social division were dominant all year, and belonged in the upper division. Somehow, they all decided to lose in the second round. Emerging from the ashes for the championship game was the #8 & #10 seeds. In that final game, Dirty Pitches won their fourth straight game of the day over Kick In The Gass, to finish the season at 10-1 and their first SSC title. In Wednesday social, the Horndawgs made it to the finals.... again. They always make the last game interesting and this season was no exception, as they came back on the Naturals to close the gap to 4-3 and get a tying runner on third base with only one out in the seventh. We all know how this one ends though; no run, Naturals win. Look for a new and improved Horndawgs, Part 7, coming to a kickball field near you in the spring of 2009. On Thursday social, You Don't Even Know won to claim their tenth straight divisional title. In the limited skills division on the same night, Team Norman took three straight games, including a 6-3 win over the Foul Balls for their first championship. Their prize? A promotion to play with the big kids and face You Don't Even Know on opening day next season. Congrats team! Kickball returns in the spring once a few pieces of grass regrow at Moya. A pre-season tournament takes places in March, followed closely by the regular season. [ + ] Current Field Conditions
